About Me

“I believe the most powerful healing comes from the connection made in the relationship between client and therapist.”

I have experience working in a variety of clinical settings.  I have worked in an inpatient hospital, residential home setting, outpatient treatment programs, and in private practice.  I have worked with individuals who suffer with chronic mental illness, the geriatric population, at-risk youth and their families, and with individuals struggling with eating and co-occurring disorders.

My treatment philosophy is influenced by psychodynamic theory. I also incorporate dialectical behavioral (DBT) interventions and other eclectic approaches to best meet the needs of my clients.  I believe that the core of our present experiences can be linked to our past. As such, I encourage reflection on your past, connecting with unexpressed thoughts, feelings, needs, and creating meaning in prior and existing struggles.

Above all, the most powerful healing comes from the therapeutic connection. I create a safe, compassionate, authentic and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their experiences and pain; all while gaining insight, healing emotional wounds, and achieving growth and change.
